Mugabe support "sickening": Sth African bishop

South African Bishop Kevin Dowling has said that Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe had "destroyed" the country.

Catholic News Agency reports that the Bishop of Rustenberg received a standing ovation at the Southern African Bishops Regional Conference.

He said support for Mugabe by political leaders in the region is "sickening".

Mugabe was himself given a standing ovation last week by his fellow southern African regional leaders at the Southern African Development Community meeting in Lusaka, Zambia,

Bishop Dowling said that applauding "a man who has destroyed a country" shows "utter lack of concern for the plight of Zimbabweans".
