Beads and guitars change habits

Three American sisters have arrived in Sydney as volunteers to prepare for World Youth Day.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that they've brought with them 600 sets of rosary beads, two guitars, and a frisbee.

Sister Mary Rachel, Sister Anna and Sister Mary Madeline are members of the Dominican Sisters of St Cecilia in Nashville, Tennessee.

They were invited by fellow Dominican and WYD coordinator Bishop Anthony Fisher.

The sisters are the first of what is expected to be a flood of Catholic religious figures who will come to Sydney for the event.
