WYD registrations exceeding expectations

World Youth Day CEO Danny Casey says that he is thrilled with the number of registrations for next year's event.

Zenit reports that the figure already exceeds 184,000, which surpasses expectations.

Casey said, "These numbers show the level of anticipation that is building in Australia and around the world."

Australian pilgrims top the list of those registered with 50,710, while those from the US are second with 36,171. A final total of 500,000 is expected.
