Irish culture

Tinteán website for people of Australian-Irish descent and interest has been refreshed, but still carries the same range of issues, topics and news and views, based on its original print magazine form.

The aim of Tinteán is "to build the social, cultural, sporting, historical, and literary consciousness of Irish Australians and to explore and celebrate the development of Irish heritage and culture in Australia."

The articles, features and news items published in the print version of Tinteán are reflected in the online version, addressing subjects ranging from human interest stories involving members of the Irish diaspora, to the Irish economy, the role of the Irish in the settlement of Australia, and genealogical and general interest accounts of our Irish forebears.
