The Redemptorists are a religious congregation of priests and brothers within the Church who live in community to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, especially among people on the margins of society and church.
Founded in southern Italy in 1732 by St Alphonsus Liguori, Redemptorists are in a majority of countries across the world. Most of thjeir members belong to the Roman Church (Rite), but they have members also in other Churches (Rites) who are in communion with the Holy See.
The Redemptorists came to Australia in 1882 and to New Zealand in 1898.
The website has broad range of information, history, reflections and spiritual activities.
They have also just launched a new app, Bread4 Today, which features an updated reflection.
