The Aboriginal Catholic Ministry (ACM) is a ministry of the Sydney Archdiocese which supports Aboriginal people to live and express their faith as Aboriginal Catholics.
According to its website, the ACM 'offers pastoral care and provides a sacramental program which encourages Aboriginal Catholics to experience the full life of the Church in ways that are culturally appropriate and respectful.
'The ACM holds regular Masses and can assist in Baptisms, Confirmations, First Communions and Funerals. The ACM is also committed to the development of Aboriginal expressions of theology and spirituality.
'The ACM is the interface between Aboriginal peoples and the Catholic Church. It gives voice to the concerns of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and is actively engaged in advocating for the rights of Indigenous peoples. The ACM also aims to promote a greater understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and social justice issues amongst the wider community.'
