The Faithful Companions live on two continents, Asia and Australia, united by a common FCJ spirit with FCJ Sisters and FCJ Companions in Mission throughout the world.

The Companions were founded in France in 1820 by Marie Madeleine d’Houët. Their website explains that the Faithful Companions of Jesus seek to be the 'gentle, human face of Christ in our world today.'

The page says: 'The FCJ Sisters in the Province of Asia-Australia, are members of an international group of women, Catholic Sisters, called to companionship with Jesus. We live in Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar and Australia.'
