New Swiss Guards take oath to protect the Pope

On Tuesday morning, in the San Damaso courtyard of the apostolic palace, 30 young men took a solemn oath of allegiance to the Pope amidst military pomp and ceremony. They are the newest Swiss Guards of the Vatican.

Rome Reports with a video on this special day at the Vatican. Every year, on the first week of May this oath is heard throughout the Holy See.
