BBC HARDtalk: Cardinal Peter Turkson

HARDtalk speaks to Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana who, last year, was tipped to become the first African Pope since ancient times. He is calling for financial reforms and action against poverty and inequality.

Cardinal Turkson speaks of Catholic social teaching, as the BBC asks if the Church still has the moral authority to preach on such issues.

HARDtalk is a British current affairs program which conducts in-depth interviews with hard-hitting questions on sensitive topics.

Here, the Cardinal is asked to respond to various criticisms of the Church, including those of the recent United Nations report.
