Olympic swimming sensation Alicia Coutts returned to her former school fresh from her Gold medal performance at the London Olympics.
Alicia won gold in the 4x100m relay, silver in the 200m individual medley, 4x100m medley relay and 4x200m relay, and bronze in the 100m individual butterfly.
She told students and staff at St Matthew’s, Logan City, near Brisbane, that she loved visiting St Matthew's as she felt like she was coming home.
Alicia, whose mother Julie worked at St Matthew’s as a school officer, spoke to students about how exciting it was to compete at the Olympics and achieving her dream of winning gold.
Alicia revealed how her father, who died when she was young, said to her when she was six that he knew she would win at the Olympics one day.
She told students that that had always been her inspiration.
