More than 1000 parents of students at the 148 Catholic primary and systemic schools of the Sydney Archdiocese have rushed to sign a petition against funding cuts.
The NSW Government has decided to cut funding by millions of dollars over the next four years. The cuts will affect public, Catholic, independent and private schools and TAFEs.
The petition launched online by the Archdiocese of Sydney's Catholic Education Office (CEO) last week. It was receiving as many as 50 signatures and comments per hour.
