Featured Website - Sisters of Charity

The Sisters of Charity were among the pioneers of religious congregations in the Australian Catholic Church following their arrival in Sydney on the last day in 1838. Since this time they have made themselves "extensively useful" to the local Church and the country through a myriad of mission activities.

The sisters are active on the eastern seaboard in programs such as health care, education, indigenous and prison ministries to name a few. The website itself could do with some more updated content but provides a good indication of the breadth and depth of the contribution of the Sisters of Charity to Australian religious and secular life.
