WYD Cross brings light rain to Wilcannia-Forbes Diocese

Last week, as the World Youth Day Cross and Icon past through West Wyalong towards Forbes in NSW, a welcome light shower sprinkled down on those who had gathered.

While the rain didn’t last long it was warmly welcomed by the residents of the drought affected area.

Deniliquin Utes Muster Procession Through Hay

Primary students gathered in Hay from Barrum, Balranald, Deniliquin, Googowie and Hillston to welcome the Cross and Icon of Our Lady, and to process with the Cross from Brewery Park to the local oval for a liturgy and veneration.

Students from Deniliquin, held flags out the windows of utes, as the ‘Ute Muster’ led a pilgrimage through the main street of the town.

Some of the students travelled up to two hours to attend the occasion.
