Beagle Bay aborigines instrumental in finding nun's body

Police assisted by local aboriginal trackers have found the body of Sr Bernadette O'Connor.

ABC News reports that the 88 year old apparently became disoriented in a mangrove swamp near Beagle Bay in remote north Western Australia.

Police are preparing a report for the coroner.

Sr Bernadette's community reported her missing on Saturday morning. Police found her body in the mangroves 10 kilometres away, on Saturday evening.

Detective Sergeant Graeme Johnston suspects she may have become disorientated while walking her dog.
