WorkCover NSW which sponsored the Safety Conference held a Gala Dinner to acknowledge finalists and announce the winners.
Catholic Schools Office Broken Bay was named Winner, Best Workplace Health and Safety Management System Award.
The Awards judging panel said the School’s Office had “extended beyond its own geographic border and demonstrated a sustained and comprehensive commitment to OHS not only to staff and students within the Diocese, but to all schools who request it.”
“CSOHS Online is a very impressive system that has widespread application to all schools and with the potential for use in childcare and disability services.
“Their ongoing commitment to share their knowledge with others to improve OHS outcomes is outstanding”.
Director of Schools CSO Broken Bay Br Tony Whelan cfc, who accepted the award, said it belonged to the “Principals and school staffs who embraced and implemented the system and to the OHS team led by by Mrs Mary Gow.”
“We are honoured to be known as a community that is committed to the health, safety and welfare of all staff, students and parents,” Br Whelan said.
