The Little Company of Mary is an international congregation of women Religious committed to prayer and care for the suffering and dying of the world.
This congregation was founded in Nottingham, England in 1877, by the Venerable Mary Potter. The LCM spirit was carried to Australia in 1885 by six, faith-filled young women.
The Sisters immediately set to work nursing the sick in their homes, conducting a soup kitchen and a night refuge, a school for the blind, a parish school, and providing social services to those in need.
Today, LCM works with refugees, and those alienated from their human rights. It provides support to men and women through spiritual direction and retreats.
