Receptionist /Administrative Assistant - Sisters of Mercy Parramatta, Parramatta, NSW

RECEPTIONIST /ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Full Time Position, Monday to Friday from 8am to 430pm

The role involves working with a Catholic Congregation of religious women based in Parramatta. This dynamic role would suit an applicant with a positive and friendly personality.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reception duties
  • Monitoring and management of the mail/print desk, office calendar and performance of other clerical duties
  • Provision of support services to office staff and Congregation members 
  • Provision of event co-ordination support
  • Interaction with various external agencies in relation to their provision of services to the Congregation

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An understanding of, and commitment to, the Mercy charism and ethos.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Sound competencies in MS Office, particularly Word, Publisher and Outlook
  • A capacity to work independently within an office team 
  • An ability to competently and confidently deal with people, processes, competing priorities and tight timeframes
  • Attentive and good listening skills
  • An ability to navigate through complex issues and systems
  • An ability to manage sensitive and difficult phone calls professionally
