The Marist Association is looking for a suitably experienced person to join its National Pastoral Team. Working from the Marist Centre in Mascot, with a primary focus of metropolitan Sydney and regional NSW, the successful applicant will help nurture individual members and local community life in the Marist Association.
This role has been created to nurture and grow the individual membership, and community experience of, the Marist Association of St Marcellin Champagnat (MASMC).
The MASMC provides a place in the Catholic Church for people who are looking to bear witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in ways that are guided and inspired by the spirituality of Saint Marcellin Champagnat, the Founder of Marist education.
Within the new structure of the MASMC, there exists a pastoral team which aims to create among Association members a sense of belonging, identity and purpose through prayer, spiritual formation, personal and professional networking, and outreach to people in need.
The successful applicant will have a strong personal Catholic faith, an understanding of Marist mission, and an understanding and appreciation of structures and leadership of the Catholic Church in Sydney and NSW. The person will have experience in the design and delivery of spiritual formation resources and programs, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated capacity to work with a warmth, energy and enthusiasm that inspires and motivates others.
As a leader, the successful applicant will contribute to the vision and strategies that will ensure the vitality and viability of the Marist Association. They will work closely with the National and Regional Directors of Marist Schools Australia, as well as key leaders of other Marist ministries.
