The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference is seeking an experienced communications professional to join our communications team in Braddon, Canberra. As the Senior Communications Advisor, you will work with a diverse range of Catholic organisations, service sectors and projects.
As Senior Communications Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Media and Communications Director in implementing the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference’s media and communication strategy
- Building working relationships mainstream journalists and with professional media and communications networks across the Catholic Church in Australia
- Preparing and disseminating media releases, statements and news stories
- Respond to media enquiries
You will have formal qualifications in media or communications or equivalent experience. You will also have an intuitive grasp of grammar and tone of voice, and the ability to shape content for different audience needs.
