Human Resources Officer - Redemptorists, Melbourne, VIC

A position (approx. 15-20 hours per week) is available for an experienced person in Human Resources.

The Redemptorist Province of Oceania is a religious community of missionaries located in Australia, New Zealand, Samoa and China, with connections to many Asian countries. The smooth flow of personnel across these territories and jurisdictions is vital to our mission.

This HR role encompasses

1. Professional Standards of Ministry: managing the processes and procedures related to compliance with all safeguarding requirements demanded by government and church jurisdictions, including auditing of parish and other mission settings.

2. Visa Applications: managing the processes and procedures related to immigration, permanent residency (PR), citizenship and higher education enrolments that impact visa applications.

The position requires experience in HR, attention to detail, good managerial and office skills and a readiness to learn those procedures and policies of each country relating to professional standards and visa applications. An openness to work in a Catholic ethos, and a familiarity with issues related to living, ministering and being educated in an international and multicultural setting are essential.

The office is located in Melbourne. A suitable salary package commensurate with skills will be negotiated with the successful applicant. The position has potential to grow into something more.
