An exciting opportunity exists with Kildare Ministries who are looking to employ their first Business, Finance and Risk Manager. The Trustees of Kildare Ministries have canonical responsibilities for ten schools and three community works and they appoint the Directors of the Incorporated and Association Boards of these entities. Kildare Ministries operates in Victoria, South Australia, NSW and Queensland.
Kildare Ministries seeks an enthusiastic, energetic and self-directed Business, Finance and Risk Manager who has a heart for serving the marginalised through education and social outreach. The successful candidate will have broad leadership experience in business, finance, property and risk and compliance management and enjoy building relationships with various ministries and their leaders.
The Business, Finance and Risk Manager reports to the Trustees of Kildare Ministries and on a daily basis works closely with the Executive Director and therefore requires leadership skills at governance level. Communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various levels in the organisation are vital. Skills in financial strategic planning, high quality analysis, problem solving related to resourcing, risk/compliance management and analysis, human resources and industrial relations are essential. Experience in working for not-for-profit organisations, religious congregations, education and community works would be a distinct advantage.
The time allocation for this position is negotiable though it is envisaged that this position will begin as part-time with an approximate time allocation of FTE 0.6. This will be dependent on experience and availability. The ability to work in a small, friendly and efficient office is essential and there is also the requirement for some overnight and interstate travel.
