Learning and Development Manager

Catholic Professional Standards Ltd (CPSL) was formed in response to the findings of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. Established by the Catholic Church in Australia, CPSL’s role is to develop National Catholic Safeguarding Standards, audit compliance with these Standards and publicly report the results. CPSL will also provide education and training with respect to the Standards.
Reporting directly to the Director of Safeguarding, the primary purpose of the role is to build and foster a culture of safeguarding across all Church entities with whom CPSL works. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, delivering and continually improving the quality of CPSL’s Learning and Development Strategy.
Qualifications, skills & experience
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of the principles of competency-based training and assessment within a quality framework
- Experience in training processes including content development, assessment of learning, and delivery of training
- Experience in developing training resources for diverse audiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and stressful situations
