The host of the US Late Show Monday has instituted what has become known as Colbert’s ‘Catholic throwdown.’ His most recent sparring partner was actress Patricia Heaton, from Everybody Loves Raymond.
First, Colbert gets out a photo of the actress’s family, with 100 people in the frame.
As she identifies her family members, Heaton tells Colbert her sister is now a Dominican nun, in full habit.
The compere almost throws in the towel. “I can‘t compete with that,” he jokes.
