About QCEC:

The Queensland Catholic Education Commission (QCEC) is the peak body representing Catholic education in Queensland. The role of QCEC is essentially strategic and a partnership with the five Diocesan and seventeen other Catholic school authorities that administer and manage schools across Queensland.

Position Overview:

The position provides leadership to support the Executive Director to achieve the strategic directions of QCEC by:

  • Providing collaborative leadership in the areas of education policy and practice.
  • Representing QCEC and Catholic school authorities in national and state education forums.
  • Leading a team and contributing as a member of the Secretariat’s Leadership Team.
  • Represent and/or act for the Executive Director where required.

 Conditions of Employment:

  • The remuneration package reflects the seniority of the appointment.
  • Tenure: Contract appointment for 5 years, with potential renewal.
  • QCEC has a policy of staff working in the office for 3 days each week; and from home on 2 days. Annual leave is 5 weeks.
