The Brisbane Catholic Education Strategic Plan 2025 – 2027: an.education.to.believe.in sets their direction for the next three years as the organisation continues to pursue the vision of ‘we are a faith-filled learning community creating a better future’.
BCE’s strategic priorities will focus on connecting communities, delivering thriving Catholic schools, maximising potential and optimising conditions for success.
By 2027, the BCE Education Strategy will deliver transformational experiences that inspire joy for learning where excellence and equity enable all to grow and thrive. The Education Strategy will focus on three goals and objectives:
- Learning and Wellbeing – every student will flourish through excellence in learning and wellbeing.
- Leading Learning and Wellbeing – every staff member will demonstrate high- performing, innovative practice in leading and enabling learning and wellbeing.
- Structures and Systems for Learning and Wellbeing – every BCE community will connect through systemic practices to contribute to the collective transformation of learning and wellbeing.
The Role of Education Excellence Executive
In light of this new strategy, BCE is seeking to appoint an educational leader to the role of Education Excellence Executive. As a key member of the executive team, reporting to the Executive Director, the Education Excellence Executive will be accountable for leading and delivering BCE’s Education Strategy.
The appointee will deliver on the strategic priority of transforming learning and teaching through BCE schools, improving the learning outcomes of all students through excellence in learning and wellbeing processes that are data-informed, innovative and inclusive, enabling all to grow and thrive.
We are seeking a proven educational leader with a demonstrated track record of leading significant educational change through an enterprise or system. The ideal candidate will possess exemplary communication and change management skills to facilitate organisational transformation and have experience maintaining effective working relationships with executives and staff at all levels.
Role responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Executive Team to ensure system alignment and a high- performing team culture for Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Brisbane.
- Lead the BCE Education Strategy, delivering transformational experiences through effective communication and change management.
- Drive the Learning Services function to strengthen staff commitment to the educational ministry.
- Provide exceptional service delivery to schools, informed by systemic reviews and data, aligned with the Australian Curriculum Framework.
- Promote the use of learning data for school and system
- Lead the implementation of innovative education service delivery models and support
- Direct Heads, Senior Leaders, and Principals in budgeting, staffing, and resource management to align with BCE strategic goals.
- Foster strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including the Archdiocese of Brisbane and Catholic Education authorities.
