About Us
Holy Family Services is a not-for-profit provider of residential aged care, retirement living and early learning in the western Sydney suburb of Marayong. Established by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth over 65 years ago, we are a dedicated care provider whose key focus is centred on love, hospitality and acceptance.
Holy Family Services is seeking an experienced HR professional to fulfill this pivotal role in the life of this community, and to provide an informed, professional and efficient service on all aspects of human resource management and strategy.
About the Role
Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, the Human Resources Manager will lead, inspire and promote a positive organisational culture that fosters and supports the mission of Holy Family Services and its operations.
Working closely with the business unit leaders, and with a total workforce of about 190 staff, you will lead the development of mission-centred people and culture strategies that promote continuous learning and development, provide opportunities for employee growth and capability, and improve organisational outcomes.
You will provide specialist operational advice as it relates to workforce related matters to the leadership team. You will support heads of business units in relation to the management of people and culture aspects of their services.
You will promote strategies that engage and encourage the organisation’s workforce to be aligned with its direction, mission and goals. Central to this role will be your ability to work collaboratively, sensitively and positively with a broad spectrum of people within the organisation.
This position is a permanent, part-time role working 3-4 days per week. The position will be based at Marayong.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring relevant experience in a leadership role relating to human resources as well as demonstrated experience leading the development and implementation of people and culture strategies.
Tertiary qualified in human resource management, or a related discipline, you will be a strategic, analytical and innovative thinker with the ability to develop high-level strategic plans.
You will bring sound management skills and an ability to critically analyse issues and develop and implement effective strategies. This is supported by your ability to make sound decisions, be a strong adviser to other leaders, and negotiate successful outcomes.
You will be a strong negotiator and influencer and have a track record of building mutually respectful partnerships. You will be inspirational and visionary and demonstrate an ability to support and promote the mission, vision and values of Holy Family Services.
You will be abreast of contemporary practices in human resource management and committed to developing, implementing and maintaining an organisation’s learning, development and coaching framework.
