Position: Principal
Location: Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School, Ingham
Salary Range: $174,228 – $190,612 per annum depending on experience + $3,285 PAR allowance per annum 

Tenure: Full Time, 4 Year Fixed Term Contract
Commencing Date: January, 2025
Closing Date: Monday, 9 September 2024 

Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School, Ingham offers Prep to Year 6 in a Catholic co-educational environment. Located in Ingham in the Hinchinbrook Shire, the school was established over one hundred years ago by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 who continued to have a strong involvement in the school for many decades. Today the school is administered by a lay principal and staff however the Mercy tradition and charism remain strong in the school’s culture and community.

Faith, Mercy, Education and Hope are the values on which the school operates today, delivering quality Catholic education that gives students the opportunity to develop to their full potential. Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School is a strong community that is proudly supported by the parish and parents. The school is IT-driven with an emphasis on embedding technology into the pedagogy. About the role

As Principal, you will lead a team of experienced educators who are dedicated to ensuring our students are provided with the very best opportunities to achieve their individual goals in a positive, safe and supportive environment. In addition, the Townsville Diocese provides support to you through its operational arm, the Townsville Catholic Education Office. This support takes the form of expertise in Learning and Teaching, Catholic Identity, Indigenous Education, School Development and Organisational Services, including, ICT, Finance, Human Resources and Student Protection. (The position of Principal provides for the leadership and management of quality Catholic schooling and the growth and development of the Principal in the role.)  The Principal’s call to leadership is a call to respond to the centrality of Jesus Christ and thus serve the Mission of Catholic Education. The Principal is the leading educational professional within the school, inspiring students, staff and members of the community to continuously enhance learning.
