Job Description

BASP is offering a full time position to work with its 2 coordinators in supporting people seeking asylum with housing.

BASP was established in 2021 by the Brigidine sisters and assists some of the most vulnerable asylum seekers with direct support, advocacy and community awareness.

This role involves working with individuals and families in the houses managed by BASP and to ensure the properties are well maintained and safe.

The work is varied and may involve linking residents to relevant services, assisting with work or work experience, establishing social connections and keeping abreast of their visa status.

The role is based in Albert Park but involves travel around Melbourne. The successful applicant will be part of a small office group and a large number of volunteers.
