Job Description
Join Our Team as Youth Ministries Coordinator!
Location: Epping and Carlingford Parish
Hours: Part-time, 18-20 hours per week
Salary: $28 per hour + super, plus penalty rates for after-hours and weekends
Epping and Carlingford Parish is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Youth Ministries Coordinator to lead and grow our youth programs! This part-time role is ideal for someone ready to bring fresh energy to our ministry and make a real impact.
About Us
We’re home to three active youth groups:
- Cana for Years 7-9
- Antioch for Years 10–22
- Emmaus for ages 23-30
These groups meet weekly or fortnightly, and we also hold a youth-led Sunday night Mass! You’ll get to work hands-on with these groups, attending their meetings (mostly evenings and weekends), with flexible hours for planning and administration.
What We Offer
We value our team and aim to provide a rewarding work experience:
- Above-award pay rates, including additional pay for after-hours and weekends,
- Strong support from our parish priest, parish team, and volunteers,
- Flexible start date—begin right away with a handover, or start in January–February if that suits you better.
About You
You’re passionate about youth ministry, committed to your Catholic faith, and excited to engage young people in parish life. You have experience in ministry, ideally with volunteers, and enjoy organizing activities and connecting with youth in a Catholic setting.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience in Catholic ministry and enjoy leading youth initiatives,
- Know contemporary youth ministry programs and are comfortable using social media to connect with youth,
- Are organized, with good communication skills and basic tech know-how (Microsoft Office),
- Hold (or can obtain) a Working With Children Check (WWCC),
- Have a current NSW driver’s license (desirable, but not essential).
Ready to Apply?
Please send:
- A cover letter explaining why you’re interested and how you meet the selection criteria,
- Your CV detailing your experience.
Deadline: Applications close on Monday, 25 November 2024, but apply soon, as we may close early if the role is filled.
