Emerging Futures Collaborative Limited (EFCL) is a prophetic mission-led social enterprise providing support services to Catholic religious institutes undergoing significant change as they move towards completion.
A ministry of religious institutes in Australia, and a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee with appointed Board Directors. EFCL has been proactively building a solid foundation for future growth, and are excited to be seeking to appoint an Executive Director to help strengthen that foundation and to take us into the future.

About the Role
Reporting to the Board, through the Board Chair, your key responsibility will be to lead the growth and development of the company into a sustainable, collaborative, mission-driven not-for-profit service. You wil continue to build appropriate capability and process to support sound, company governance, management and service delivery.
You will lead a small, self-directed core team of experienced people who are designing, building and operating this innovative service as it grows. You will work in a flat, flexible structure with a strong focus on operations to deliver responsive, professional client services.
You will bring a strategic and operations focus to the team, and work on the big picture as well as the hands-on day-to-day operational issues to ensure the delivery of quality, cost effective outcomes.
This role is a permanent, part-time appointment at 0.5FTE with some flexibility about how that time is worked. It will be a working from home arrangement and is to be Sydney based. The position is for an initial period of 3 years, with the possibility of renewal. The role will require some travel.
Key Requirements
The Executive Director will ideally possess the following knowledge, experience and qualifications:
- Experience aligning strategy and operations with mission and values in a for-purpose setting
- Alignment with the values of the Catholic religious congregations, and a appreciation for their life, mission and ethos
- Senior leadership experience within a for-purpose organisation
- Experience setting and delivering commercial targets to achieve financial sustainability
- Relevant experience to ensure financial management responsibilities are discharged appropriately
