Job Description

Your Role

Applications are invited for the full-time position of Formation Identity and Religious Education (FIARE) Consultant, commencing as soon as able or as negotiated with the successful applicant.

The successful applicant will work with the Assistant Director: Mission and the FIARE Team at the Catholic Education Office to provide leadership, and support to Catholic Education – Diocese of Rockhampton kindergartens, schools and colleges in the specific areas of formation, Catholic Identity and Religious Education.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Assists in the provision of professional support for APREs and others in similar roles in the Diocese, in conjunction with Assistant Director: Mission and other members of the FIARE Team
  • Supports and articulates a contemporary Catholic educational vision with a focus on the student as a learner and person
  • Facilitating the implementation of the CEDR P-10 Religious Education Curriculum and/or providing support for the implementation of the Religious Understandings and Spiritually Framework for Kindergartens and/or Senior Religion pathways, as required.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and current Queensland College of Teachers Registration
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
