Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga is seeking an innovative and faith-filled Catholic leader for the role of Principal, St. Joseph’s Primary School, Leeton.
Commencing for January 2026, the successful Principal will be one who is committed to the Catholic faith and incorporates this in the values and behaviours of personal and community life.
The opportunity at St. Joseph’s presents as one ideal for experienced Catholic leaders who can demonstrate capacity to provide faith-filled, collaborative and contemporary leadership within a Catholic learning community of over 300 students.
St Joseph’s Primary School Leeton
St Joseph’s Primary School is located in the Riverina city of Leeton, with modern facilities and large playing areas for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Ours is a place of spirituality, where our students come to know Jesus through life at our school. It is our goal each day, for your child to find our school a place of faith, friendship, joy, discovery, challenge and learning.
St Joseph’s had its inception in 1917 and, from humble beginnings, the school has grown into a modern, well-equipped community of more than 300 children. The charism of the Josephite sisters has continued throughout the school’s history.
Leeton is a vibrant town thriving on its diverse agricultural sector, particularly rice and cotton production. The town boasts picturesque landscapes and hosts various cultural events, markets, and festivals throughout the year, fostering a strong sense of belonging.

Your New Role
As Faith Leader, the Catholic School Principal models faith in action, leading the school community to enact a shared vision that focuses on the provision of a high-quality Catholic education for all students.
Ideally, the successful leader would hold accreditation for Senior Leaders in a Catholic School (Category E) or would be working towards Accreditation.

- 5 years full-time contract with the option of an additional 5 years subject to ongoing successful performance reviews
- Salary in accordance with enrolment band 3 of the NSW and ACT Catholic Systemic Schools Principals Enterprise Agreement 2024
