The Padua College Board is seeking an exceptional Catholic educational leader, who is authentic and dynamic with strong values and an inspirational approach, to lead the College into its next phase of development.

The College has been blessed with outstanding leaders to date. Our current Rector, Mr Peter Elmore, has accepted the position of Deputy Executive Director, Catholic Education Queensland Ltd and will complete nine years of outstanding leadership at the end of the 2025 school year. Mr Elmore and his predecessors have ensured that the College has developed as a vibrant educational community with high levels of student educational outcomes, and a committed community of leaders, staff, and parents.

To take the College into its next phase of development, we are seeking an outstanding educator and experienced school leader who is a strategic thinker and who can lead with courage, imagination, sustainability, and creativity. The new Rector will support and empower a highly competent leadership team, and work with an engaged and collaborative Board.

SELECTION CRITERIA

1. Demonstrates a deep commitment to Catholic values and tradition, a strong sense of Church and its Educational Mission and experience as a strong faith leader who can animate the Franciscan Charism.
2. Understands and discerns current educational trends, and is able to provide clear leadership and direction towards innovation and excellence.
3. Has expertise in leading and implementing strategic initiatives and continuous improvement that impacts on student progress and achievement.
4. Is supportive and generous in spirit in building collaborative relationships with all members of the College community, and the broader educational environment.
5. Ability to empower staff, students, and parents to actively engage with the College community through effective communication and positive relationships.
6. Demonstrates a comprehensive level of understanding and enactment of the safeguarding, legislative, governance, budgetary and compliance requirements applicable to an independent Catholic College.
