Job Description

The primary role of the Digital Applications Project Manager is to lead the evolution of the Society’s key digital applications: the National Overseas Database (NOD) and Assist a Student (AAS) donation management system. This 6-month part-time position operates in two phases:

Phase 1 (Months 1-2): Strategic Analysis – Evaluate and recommend technology pathways for NOD and AAS, analysing modernisation in place, rebuilding from scratch, or off-the-shelf solutions.

Phase 2 (Months 2-6): Implementation Management – Lead modernisation delivery with external development partners, manage new feature development, oversee database health checks, and support transition to Slite.com for documentation and to act as the point of contact for technical support ticketing system.

The role combines strategic planning with hands-on project management, working with external vendors, internal stakeholders, and end-users. NOD is the primary focus – a sophisticated system managing overseas partnerships and international remittances. AAS is simpler and may suit off-the-shelf replacement.

This position suits a project management professional seeking experience across the full project lifecycle whilst contributing to meaningful charitable work. The role requires project management skills, vendor relationship management, technical understanding for system oversight, and change management capabilities for user adoption of new tools.
