You’ll be the go‑to partner for leaders and personnel—employees, Brothers, volunteers, committee members and contractors—championing a safe, inclusive, and purpose‑led culture inspired by Lasallian values.

What you’ll do
• People operations: Be the central HR contact; run end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, contracts and role documentation.
• Compliance & policy: Interpret Awards and legislation; keep policies current and accessible across civil and church requirements.
• Capability & growth: Manage the designing and delivery of District‑wide induction, learning and development; coordinate performance and development plans.
• Culture & engagement: Lead wellbeing, recognition and internal communications that connect people to purpose.
• Safeguarding first: Embed safeguarding principles in all HR and cultural practices.
• WHS leadership (Australia): Oversee WHS policies, systems, training, fire safety/first aid; support oversight for overseas sectors.
• Injury management: Advise on workers compensation and coordinate safe return‑to‑work.
• Data & systems: Manage HRIS and volunteer systems; ensure accurate, confidential records and screening (e.g., WWCC, ministry registry).
• Partnership: Balance church–lay priorities; collaborate widely; gather feedback and report insights that inform decisions.
What you bring
• Tertiary qualifications in HR or related field; strong HRIS and Microsoft 365 skills.
• Depth in contemporary HR, L&D, WHS and workers compensation systems and practices.
• Proven judgement across employment legislation, policy and industrial matters.
• Demonstrated success in building a value aligned culture that champions wellbeing, safety and mission
• Experience managing volunteers and contractors supporting a values‑aligned culture.
• Influencing chops—advising, coaching and partnering with leaders at all levels.
• Excellent communication, discretion and the ability to juggle priorities.
• A commitment to embedding safeguarding within HR and organisation culture.
• Ability to recognise and prioritise the integration of lay staff with the religious values and mission of a faith-based workplace
Nice to have:
Postgrad HR; familiarity with Catholic/education frameworks; understanding of canon‑law obligations for religious in community and ministry.
