Reporting to the Executive Director Catholic Education South Australia, you will work collaboratively with the Leadership Team in bringing to life the CESA Mission and Vision, which has at its heart a contemporary understanding of Catholic identity, outstanding educational leadership, and continuously improving outcomes for students.
This is a varied role requiring the ability to work proactively with Principals, school and CEO staff to lead system strategy. The Director Catholic Identity and Mission will impactfully engage strategically with school, system and national Catholic education colleagues.
The Director Catholic Identity and Mission will contribute to and lead a unified identity of Parish-worshipping and school communities, leading schools in working in partnership with families and parishes, accompanying students on a journey of personal and spiritual growth.
This role requires a continuation and enlivening of the characteristics, practices and outcomes of the Global and local Synods, with the aim of enhancing schools’ strong communion and mutual participation across the Adelaide Archdiocese and Diocese of Port Pirie.
About You

- Enhance and embed Catholic Identity and Mission for CESA through strengthening:
- The life and liturgical mission of Catholic education

- Formation and development of staff in schools and offices.
- Have leadership, oversight and accountability responsibilities for the Catholic Identity and Mission Section, including its strategic initiatives, programs, projects and teams.
- Advocate and influence the interests of the Catholic sector internally, and at state and national levels.
- Provide leadership and advice to South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools in its vision, goals, strategic action and outcomes.
The Director Catholic Identity and Mission will model leadership that is based on dignity, justice and compassion, and ensures that Catholic education:
