The Opportunity
Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) is seeking two Catholic Identity & Mission Advisors to support schools in strengthening Catholic identity and mission, formation and Religious Education.
Working as part of an integrated Catholic Identity and Mission team, you will partner with Principals, APRIMs and school leaders to build capacity, lead professional learning, and develop resources that support faith formation and Religious Education of Catholic schools across South Australia. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a system level while contributing to the future of Catholic education.
Two full-time opportunities available:
- 12-month contract: commencing 18 January 2027
- 2-year secondment: commencing18 January 2027
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with Principals, APRIMs and school leaders to strengthen Catholic identity and mission.
- Building trusted relationships and providing strategic support to an assigned group of schools.
- Leading professional learning and formation in Catholic identity and Religious Education.
- Developing curriculum resources and materials that support Religious Education and formation.
- Supporting APRIMs and other religious leaders through mentoring, guidance and professional support.
- Contributing to strategic projects, initiatives and service priorities within the Catholic Identity and Mission team.
About You
We are seeking someone who:
- Holds teacher registration in South Australia, Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School and relevant qualifications in theology, religious education, spiritual formation and/or educational leadership.
- Demonstrates leadership in Catholic identity and mission, formation and Religious Education.
- Is an active member of a Catholic eucharistic community, committed to the Church’s mission and teachings.
- Builds strong, collaborative partnerships with school leaders, educators and colleagues.
- Designs and delivers engaging professional learning and formation using adult learning principles.
- Has contemporary knowledge of theology, scripture, Religious Education and Catholic educational practice.
