About the Role

Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Learning and Teaching Officer leads a team to:

  • Provide strategic leadership of learning and teaching across the Diocese
  • Lead a multidisciplinary, evidence-informed function supporting schools in curriculum, assessment, wellbeing and inclusive education
  • Design and implement research-informed school improvement strategies
  • Build instructional leadership capability across school leaders and teachers
  • Establish and leverage strategic partnerships (including universities and sector bodies)
  • Contribute as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, supporting whole-of-organisation strategy and alignment
