About Us
The Emerging Futures Collaborative Limited (EFCL) is a ministry established by a collaborative of Catholic Religious Institutes in Australia to provide administration and support services to Religious Institutes. The Institute of Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (‘the Institute’) is one of EFCL’s Service Partners.
The Sisters in Australia are a Circle (known as the Australian Governance Circle), within the Institute.

As part of their responsibility to provide support services to the Institute, EFCL seeks to engage a Community Coordinator.
About the Role
The Community Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring wholistic care and support (health, wellbeing, spiritual support and pastoral care) are provided to each Sister, and that each Sister continues to live a valued and meaningful life as she ages.
Reporting to the Shared Services Manager (EFCL) and working closely with the Health and Wellbeing Coordinator and Business Manager, you will provide practical, day to day support to the Sisters.
Using your exceptional interpersonal skills, you will develop and maintain positive relationships, provide advocacy, accompaniment and companionship to each Sister, and assist the Sisters in maintaining connections with their family, friends, community and broader networks, including past ministries.
You will help Sisters maintain connections with traditions of the Institute and support the celebration of important Circle and individual events such as birthdays and jubilees.
Ensuring confidentiality and discretion, you will manage each Sister’s personal, legal and financial documents.
The role is a permanent, part-time role (22.8 hours a week), with days and hours to be negotiated. Flexibility is required to be available to attend to occasional after-hours emergencies. There will also be an opportunity for the successful candidate to work from home when not undertaking work with the Sisters.
About You
