About Us

The Emerging Futures Collaborative Limited (EFCL) is an innovative ministry established by a collaborative of Catholic Religious Institutes in Australia, to address an emerging need in religious life for transition and support services. The Presentation Sisters Wagga Wagga is one of EFCL’s Service Partners.

The Wagga Wagga Congregation is comprised of 17 Sisters with differing living arrangements in Wagga Wagga and surrounds. As part of its responsibility to provide support services to the Presentation Sisters Wagga Wagga, EFCL seeks to engage a Community Coordinator.

About the Role

Reporting to the EFCL Shared Services Manager, and working closely with the Health and Wellbeing and Administration and Accounting teams, you will play a vital role in supporting the Sisters, both as a community and individually, ensuring each Sister has the opportunity to continue to live a valued and meaningful life as she ages, and to participate in community activities.

You will develop and maintain positive relationships with each Sister, advocate on her behalf as required, and assist the Sisters individually and as a community to maintain connections with their family, friends and broader networks, including past ministry and works.

Using your exceptional organisational and event coordination skills, you will arrange the monthly gatherings of the Sisters as a community, ensuring agendas are communicated in advance, gatherings are well-structured, and any actions flowing from the gatherings are documented and followed up. In collaboration with the Sisters, you will also coordinate the celebration of important community and individual events such as birthdays and jubilees.

Ensuring confidentiality and discretion, you will manage each Sister’s personal documents, including legal and financial documents, and ensure the proper appointment, coordination, documentation and recording of each Sister’s nominated representatives.

This role is a permanent part-time role, ideally to be worked Monday to Friday, 5.5  hours a day. An alternative working arrangement may be considered for a stand-out candidate. Flexibility is required to be available to attend occasional after-hours emergencies.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills and experience in coordinating the administrative aspects of meetings and events
  • Familiarity with legal and administrative requirements related to aged care, power of attorney and guardianship
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to create respectful relationships with the Sisters and others, advocate on their behalf, and to collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
