Deputy Director – Corporate Services, Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd (CESL)
Location: Bendigo/Wangaratta/Tatura (Hybrid)
Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd (CESL) seeks to employ an experienced leader as the Deputy Director Corporate Services to support the Executive Director in providing strategic leadership, governance and management of business services across CESL’s network of 60 learning centres.
This is a unique and dynamic opportunity for an energetic and respected leader to play a significant role in leading change and transformation initiatives across CESL including oversight of Finance, People & Culture, Technology, Governance, Risk & Strategy as well as Operations.
CESL is a system of schools offering Catholic education in the Sandhurst Diocese, with a rich history spanning more than 160 years with the first school opening on the Bendigo Goldfields in 1853. The organisation includes three Catholic Education Offices (100+ staff) and 60 learning centres (including Early Learning Centres) with an approximate student population of 20,000 and teaching and support staff of more than 3,000 with an annual budget of circa $300 million.
A newly created role, the Deputy Director Corporate Services will report directly to the Executive Director and in particular, will play a significant role in leading the Digital Reimagination Project to modernise, Finance, HCM and Payroll technology systems and infrastructure, consolidate operations, uplift overall performance and deliver a superior service to schools, families and children across CESL.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading significant transformation, change management and project experience particularly across HR, Payroll, Finance, Capital Planning, IT and Procurement.
