Deputy Principal

Location: Mount Isa
Salary Range: $153,277 to $164,999 per annum pending experience + Super + Allowances
Incentives: IPRASS and ITAS Allowance
Join the leadership team at Good Shepherd Catholic College, Mount Isa as Deputy Principal – Secondary, where your leadership, faith and vision will help shape a vibrant learning community built on care, excellence and Catholic values.
In this pivotal role, you’ll partner closely with the Principal to guide staff and students toward success – championing high-quality teaching and learning, nurturing Catholic identity, and supporting the spiritual and personal growth of every learner. You’ll lead with integrity, collaboration and purpose, fostering a culture where staff feel supported, students are inspired.
With proven leadership experience and a deep commitment to Catholic education, you demonstrate the ability to develop and mentor others within a professional learning culture. Drawing on your knowledge of contemporary pedagogy, curriculum design and student wellbeing, you inspire excellence and model inclusive, values-driven leadership. You’ll also lead continuous improvement and innovation, using data-informed practice to strengthen teaching, learning and student outcomes.
You’ll bring authentic faith leadership as an active member of a Catholic Eucharistic community, together with full accreditation to teach Religious Education and registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
