Founded in 1881 by the Marist Brothers, St Joseph’s College is a boarding and day secondary boys’ school, whose Catholic identity is shaped by Marist spirituality and traditions. Governed by Marist Schools Australia, the College enrolment is 1,100 students.

DIRECTOR OF FAITH & FORMATION

College Leadership Team Member

Full time contracted position commencing Term 1, 2026

The Director of Faith and Formation plays a key leadership role in animating the Catholic identity and Marist character of the College. Reporting to the Headmaster and working as a vital member of the Leadership Team, the Director provides strategic and spiritual leadership in nurturing the faith life of the College community, inspired by the Gospel, the teachings of the Catholic Church, and the Marist charism as lived and modelled by Saint Marcellin Champagnat.

This position provides oversight and direction across key areas including liturgy and sacramental life, student and staff faith formation, retreats, social justice and service learning, community outreach, and Marist mission engagement. Working collaboratively with the Religious Education Department and broader College staff, the Director ensures the integration of faith and life in all dimensions of College life.

The Director of Faith and Formation supports the implementation of the College’s strategic vision and ensures that the Marist spirituality continues to shape and inspire the culture, relationships, and educational mission of the school community.
