About Us

Mary MacKillop Place (MMP) is a not-for-profit organisation located in the heart of North Sydney that holds a distinct position within Australia. The resting place of St Mary MacKillop, it is a place of pilgrimage and welcome  offering a unique combination of hospitality and heritage, providing accommodation, a conference centre, Café, Gift Shop, Museum, and Chapel on site.

MMP welcomes pilgrims, businesses, visitors, and guests from across Australia and beyond, with a strong focus on welcome,  service and community in the spirit of Saint Mary MacKillop. Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised and professional Executive Officer to support our General Manager. In this pivotal role, you will provide executive-level administrative and project support, acting as a key liaison between the GM, internal teams, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the General Manager’s calendar, meetings, events, and travel arrangements
  • Prepare high-quality reports, board papers, presentations, and correspondence
  • Coordinate meetings and liaise with stakeholders, Board members, and leadership teams
  • Assist with project administration, compliance activities, and operational planning
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with the highest discretion
  • Support the GM with hospitality, site operations, and community initiatives as needed

About You:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in an Executive Assistant or senior administrative role, preferably supporting a General Manager or senior leadership
  • Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools
  • Demonstrated discretion, integrity, and a proactive approach to work
  • An appreciation of, and alignment with, the mission and values of Mary MacKillop Place
