Job Description
The Role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and through to the Chief Operating Officer and Finance Council, and as a key member of the finance function, the Finance Business Partner is responsible for providing timely and relevant information to support effective decision-making and the strategic financial management of the organisation as a whole.
A key function of this role will include building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and being able to communicate effectively with them.
Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing financial data, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting informed decision-making.
- Managing month-end activities including accruals, reconciliations, forecasting, and preparation of management reports.
- Partnering with cost centre managers to drive performance, build financial capability, and support program delivery.
- Managing the development of the internal budget, forecasts, and forward estimates for the relevant governance bodies.
- Developing financial models, tools, and reports that translate complex data into strategic insights for senior executives and governance bodies.
- Overseeing the treasury function including cashflow forecasting, investment management, and reporting in liaison with Investment Advisors.
- Providing financial advice on property portfolio matters including lease agreements, rental reviews, and stakeholder correspondence.
- Fostering collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial guidelines and promote a culture of accountability.
About You
To be successful in this challenging and exciting role, you will be CA or CPA qualified; have strong commercial/business acumen and demonstrated finance business partnering experience ideally in a medium to large organisation.
You will have strong written and oral communication with the ability to convert complex financial information to laymen, and interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
