We’re looking for a talented Head of Communications to provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for Mercy Health’s communications team.  Reporting to the Executive Director Mission, Communications and Stakeholder Relations, this position will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our brand, engaging with our audience, and creatively communicating our mission and values to a national audience.

If you have

• the ability to think strategically and creatively;
• an ability to work with diverse groups of employees and thrive in a team that upholds values of compassion, hospitality, respect, innovation, stewardship, and teamwork;
• the capacity to develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships and to positively influence stakeholders at all levels internally and externally;

and possess

• tertiary qualifications in public relations, communication, digital media, journalism, marketing or a similar relevant field;
• extensive strategic communications experience within a large, complex, organisation;
• proven experience in leading and motivating a diverse range of professional staff to work cohesively to achieve positive outcomes for the community and organisation;
• an understanding of Healthcare and/or Aged and Community care (desirable but not essential);
