St Joseph’s Nudgee College (Est. 1891) is a Catholic Boys’ Day and Boarding school in the Edmund Rice tradition for Years 5-12, with a student population of 1730, including 315 boarders. The College caters for students from the local Brisbane area, regional and remote Queensland, interstate and overseas.  We uphold the values of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) in providing quality Catholic education to students.  The College is a member of the GPS Association and focuses upon providing a balanced holistic education, for all, through its extensive social justice, performing arts and sporting programs.

Role
The College is seeking a Head of Service Learning to join our Mission and Identity team to commence Term 3 2025. The core business of this position is to lead and manage the College’s extensive immersion programs, and to develop experiential initiatives which enrich all school programs. This position has a timetabled teaching role.

Qualification/Registration

Mandatory requirements:

• Registered and qualified to teach in Queensland, or be able to gain this registration prior to starting, through the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Training in Theology/religious education or appropriate for this position
• Proven capacity to provide leadership in an educational environment, particularly in the facilitation of service and experimental faith opportunities.

Salary
This is classified as a Tier 3 (Middle Management Salary), under the Teacher Award in the current Catholic Religious Institute Schools Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA). This position is a 4 + 4 year contract.
