Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lead Advisor, Faith Leadership to join the team at Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd.

Location: East Melbourne 3002

YOUR ROLE

The Lead Advisor, Faith Leadership is a newly established position designed to strengthen Catholic leadership and theological formation across MACS schools. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of formation programs that empower principals, school leaders, and staff to deepen their faith leadership in alignment with MACS’s Faith Formation Framework and 2030 strategic vision. You will provide strategic advice, support accreditation initiatives, and contribute to key leadership strategies that enhance school improvement and mission alignment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Catholic educational leadership, project management, and a passion for fostering faith-based learning communities. You will work collaboratively across the Catholic Mission and Identity (CMI) directorate, which guides schools in bringing MACS’s mission to life through faith leadership, formation, and community engagement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Deliver expert guidance and formation to enhance Catholic leadership across school communities.
  • Lead the development and evaluation of faith formation programs aligned with MACS strategic priorities.
  • Partner with stakeholders to implement accreditation and leadership development pathways for educators.
  • Use data, research and evaluation to shape program direction and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across the CMI team and with Archdiocesan and parish partners on key liturgical and formation initiatives.
  • Contribute to broader CMI team projects that advance Catholic identity and school improvement.

ABOUT YOU

  • You bring a deep understanding of Catholic educational leadership and the formation needs of school and system leaders.
  • You are an experienced project and change manager, capable of delivering complex strategic initiatives.
  • You have strong theological, liturgical, or religious education expertise to shape impactful formation experiences.
  • You communicate clearly and persuasively and build strong, trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • You are highly organised and capable of balancing multiple priorities while delivering on deadlines.
