About the role:

As Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Religious Education, you will provide academic expertise to the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy by delivering excellence in teaching and learning within Catholic religious education and theology and undertake and lead research in this field. You will be expected to contribute to the mission of the faculty and university through teaching, research, academic administration, curriculum development, program coordination and work collaboratively with external partners.

More specifically the role entails:

  • Delivering quality teaching in Religious Education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Developing quality research publications (individual and/or collaborative)
  • Contributing to the management and administration of units and courses, and to the supervision of research projects.

What we offer:

  • Total remuneration valued to $134,709 – $158,885 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $113,831 – $134,397 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level B), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading or total remuneration valued to $168,512 – $182,954 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $142,625 – $154,969 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level C), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. The level of appointment will be determined based on the level of experience, skills and capability of the successful candidate.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks’ salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
