Basic Role Purpose:
The Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing Manager in executing national marketing initiatives, including campaigns, creative development, content management, social media, email marketing, website maintenance, and reporting. The role also manages local area marketing activities, overseeing campaign execution, collateral, signage, merchandise, content creation, feedback and review management, and results reporting. Additionally, the position is responsible for managing the centre briefing submissions process, ensuring effective communication and coordination across the organisation.
Key Role Accountabilities:
In carrying out the role, the Marketing Coordinator is required to meet the following key accountabilities:
- Ethos and Mission
- Uphold, through word and deed, the ethos and mission of the Spirituality Ministry of the Sisters of Saint Joseph.
- Ensure work activities are in accordance with the ethos and mission of the Spirituality Ministry of the Sisters of Saint Joseph.
- Demonstrate a commitment to a deepening understanding of the spirit of the Congregation of the Spirituality Ministry of the Sisters of Saint Joseph.
- Actively support the Sisters of Saint Joseph and their Mission.
- Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues and the Spirituality Ministry.
- Lead and promote a climate of hospitality and welcome.
2.0 Position Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator include but are not limited to:
- Support the Marketing Manager in executing national marketing initiatives, including:
- Campaign planning and delivery
- Creative development and asset management
- Performance tracking and reporting
- Website content updates and maintenance
- Content creation for various channels
- Social media management
- Email marketing campaigns
- Manage local area marketing activities, including:
- Planning and executing local campaigns
- Developing and managing marketing collateral, signage, and merchandise
- Generating and curating content for local channels
- Collecting, compiling, and responding to feedback and reviews
- Reporting on local marketing results and performance
- Oversee the centre briefing submissions process, ensuring timely and effective communication
3.0 Professional Development
- Evaluate personal and professional performance and seek opportunities for ongoing professional development.
- Evaluate performance of direct reports and ensure that approved personal and professional development activities are undertaken.
- Participate in the performance planning and review process.
4.0 Work Health Safety (WHS)
- Maintain duty of care of own health and safety and all others in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with WHS policies, procedures and protocols.
- Ensure that workplace hazards and risks are reported and acted upon.
- Undertake WHS training as required.
5.0 Child and Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding
- Ensure the safety of all visitors to the Centres through compliance with the Children and Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding policy and procedures.
6.0 Other
- Engage in other duties commensurate with skills and experience and within the scope of this role or as directed by your manager.
- Follow legal requirements and comply with company policies and procedures.

8.0 Qualifications, experience, and competencies
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Marketing Coordinator, preferably in a services marketing environment
- Strong digital marketing skills, including website CMS, social media, and email marketing
- Ambition and interest in progressing to lead the Local Area Marketing function
Desirable
- Experience working in a cultural institution.
- Experience targeting a younger population
Incumbents in this position are required to hold a State-based Child Compliance Check and undergo a National Criminal History Check.
